Orobourous Land Art

The Concept

We are Nature. We are in the ‘Cycle of life’ where in our project, an Ouroboros takes central role. The Ouroboros is a metaphoric serpent that is continually devouring itself and being reborn from itself. It wraps and is partially suspended around tree stems in the forest. Through the playful interaction and weaving among the trees, eventually it returns to itself with its tail in its mouth. We want to unravel this mystery, so to say. In our project we see an amalgamation of decay, transience and new life. The Ouroboros brings us together as artists and knows how to make new connections in this way. This we hope to pass on to the visitors at Grindelwald.
