The Concept

In the piece, a duality is presented. Two light bulbs create a Mobius loop. The energy flows from one to the other in a circular motion. Our perspective shifts as we walk around the sculpture. From one angle the light bulb is upright. As we move around the piece, the light bulb has shifted upside down. This Mobius loop feeds off each other.

I am inspired by the lightbulb as a metaphor for new ideas, brilliance, inspiration, thoughts, visions, power sources, and energy.
